Your device data stays on your device.

OpenAirco is designed to work without an account or external service. This policy describes the App Store release and this website.

What the app processes

Your air conditioner data stays between your iPhone and your local network. To reconnect reliably, the app stores a local endpoint, your room name and a domain-separated SHA-256 digest used to bind a restored session to the same physical unit. The raw device identity is not stored.

What we collect

Nothing. The app contains no advertising, analytics or third-party crash-reporting SDK. Neither OpenAirco contributors nor third parties receive local device data. The accurate App Store privacy declaration is “No, we do not collect data from this app”.

Removing a device

Removing an air conditioner deletes its OpenAirco metadata and closes the active local session. It does not send an unvalidated deregistration command to the air conditioner, so an existing controller registration may remain on the unit.

Diagnostics

Technical diagnostics are redacted by default. Release builds do not log command values or device-reported identities.

This website

Tuinstra.DEV operates this website. It uses no cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, accounts, contact forms or dedicated visitor-access logging. Hosting infrastructure may still process short-lived network metadata needed to route traffic securely and keep the service available.
